Greetings! Today we are celebrating the most recent release for Kindred Stamps! This release is SO full of whimsy! I got to play with the most epic of all stamp sets! My daughter knows that I love ALL things Unicorn! When I first saw this set I knew I had to have it as soon as possible!

IΒ  created three cards with this set, two full of snark and one that screams positive reinforcement! I will absolutely be making more of these in the future!

For my first card, I stamped my letters out with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored the letters in with Copic Markers, I then fussy cut them out.

I decided to make it a shaker card. Using a 6×6 sheet of Scor-Tape, I adhered it onto a sheet of Neenah cardstock, then I covered the other side of the sticky with silver gilding flakes. I created a frame, for my shaker, using the Stitched Fancy Scalloped Rectangle dies from Kat Scrappiness. I also used the same dies to cut a piece of fun foam. First, I adhered a sheet of acetate to my cardstock frame, then I adhered my magical letters. I adhered my fun foam frame to the back side, I also stuck a few pieces of scrap fun foam to the back side of the letters for support.

At this point things got crazy. I was looking at my sequins and other shaker card filling stuff when my eye caught some fake snow I was using for photo props! I inserted that into my shaker, used much more Scor-Tape to adhere this to my silver gilded cardstock. It didn’t go on exactly evenly because it was super hard to adhere everything upside down, so I trimmed the excess around, the gilded sheet. I found some glitter cardstock, cut it down to an A2 size, and stuck my shaker sandwich to that. This was all put onto a card base and VIOLA! The most magical shaker you’ll ever find!

For my second card, I had a LOT of fun combining the Magical Alphabet set with the Santa’s Elf set for another snarky card. Again, I fussy cut the letters out after I colored them, which is what I did with the elf.

The rest is pretty much die cutting and stamping/masking, it was a pretty quick and easy card to make, I did dust the edges with Distress Inks.

For my third card, I stamped the letters out with black Versafine ink, and then again with Versamark ink so that I could clear emboss the letters with WOW! Clear Embossing Powder. Then, using my Zig Real Brush Markers, I painted the letters. For the background, I did a simple watercolor wash using shiny yellow ink, then adorned it with sequins, the EPIC Rock Candy mix from Kat Scrappiness!

I hope you like my cards! I REALLY hope I’ve inspired you!

  1. I love this magical alpha and I can’t wait to grab it. The elf card made me smile; it is almost elf time again. It must have taken forever to fussy cut out those letters, but your card turned out beautifully, so it was probably worth it in the end.

    1. Actually, I hit a zen after a while. But man, I really want a Scan n Cut! πŸ˜€ Thank you for your kind words! πŸ˜€

    1. Thank you! That was actually Marcia’s suggestion, from The Frolicking Fairy. I almost NEVER think to mix sets! I need to get more creative like the two of you! πŸ˜€

  2. This was the set that caught my eye first on the Kindred Stamps post about the new releases. It’s so over the top, and as I expected, it holds up well to lots of color and glitter!

    1. Thank you! I was out and about when I was stamping, I didn’t have my usual tools to line everything up, for the two cards where I fussy cut the letters. I decided to just flow with it and not stress. πŸ˜€

  3. Such a unique alphabet… so magical! This set can work with so many of Kindred Stamps awesome sets! Beautiful cards!

  4. Eeeeeeeeek! This is the CUTEST alphabet set I’ve EVER seen! This is definitely a MUST HAVE! Your Elf card is especially awesome! Heeheehee! :0p
