I apologize for the tardiness of this posting! My daughter and I are traveling to Oregon for the eclipse, and because my father’s birthday is the same day! What a great day to turn 70!!!!

Today I am sharing another card that I made using a stamp set from Kindred Stamp‘s most recent release. Who hasn’t, at some point in their life, been a fan of Disney? Maybe you remember watching Micky Mouse as a child, or maybe you LOVED the princesses. Maybe you still do?!?!?!

Peter Pan dates way past Disney, but it’s Disney version is certainly the most popular way most people know of him. In this card, I am pairing a Walt Disney quote about growing old vs growing up, which I LOVE, with some of the more well-known characters. 😀

I had a LOT of fun creating this card with Distress Inks and Copic Markers. I just LOVE how this card came together. I used some Arches watercolor paper and Distress Ink to create the background. First I made it BRIGHT and splashed water on it to give it texture. I splashed water on it a couple of times until I got the look I wanted, making sure the thoroughly dry it each time.

Isn’t the paper towel beautiful!

Once it was colored I then covered it with black Distress Ink and splashed more water on it.

When the background was done and dry I used the Comic Strip Die from Papertrey Ink and then dusted the newly cut edges with yet more black ink to create a more vignetted look. I then used that same die and ran it through my die cutting machine with some Gina K Black cardstock. Being cognizant of making sure the color flowed through the various pieces, I laid them into the black card stock’s holes.

All that was left was to color my characters and to heat emboss the sentiment! I will probably be remaking this card a couple of times, it was so much fun!

I hope I have inspired you, this stamp set is SO MUCH fun! If you want to get yours at a discount use HANNAH10 and you can save 10% off of your purchase!
