A new release for Kindred Stamps means that I finally get to show you some of the awesome stuff I’ve been working on! This set, Chubby Mermaid, is so near and dear to my heart! I have been asking Audra to turn it into a stamp set for some time now, and she finally did it! Being a chubby monkey myself, I am super excited to finally have a mermaid set that doesn’t have super skinny mermaids! I LOVE representing women of all sizes!

This card actually came from playing with some Colorburst and a Neat and Tangled stencil.

The card panel on the left is the one I used, which was where I had flipped over the stencil, after the right was made, and left the imprint. I then covered it with adhesive and then with microfine glitter! It was SO pretty, and so hard to cut it into circles using my Kat Scrappiness Never Ending Circle Dies, but I did it!

This was supposed to be a Karen Burniston Pop Out Tag, but I never got that far with it! I did some Distress Oxide work on the back and inside and fell out of love with what was going on, the project lost steam after that, so I decided just to keep it a tag! I die cut the wave die and then traced that paper to make the waves. The whole project was painted from using Distress inks!

For this card I took the My Favorite Things BG Wavy Coloring Book Background and stamped it repeatedly with Catherine Pooler Inks so that the color was in a gradient look. This was stamped on Arches Watercolor Paper and then sprayed with water, letting the lines soften. Using my Kat Scrappiness Never Ending Rectangle Dies I die cut that panel and inserted a piece of corresponding cardstock between both panels.

Can you tell how much I LOVE LOVE LOVE this stamp set?
