It’s scary how much fun you’ll have!

I am SO excited to be participating in this blog hop! I love Halloween, it is probably my most favorite holiday! I have a 7-year-old, so we are VERY busy this time of the year, lots of costume-related events to attend. It seems as if the world is being overrun by adorable princesses and ninjas!

With so many events, comes so many party favors that I inevitably have to create or bring. Ok, honestly, I sign up for them because they are so fun!

Today’s project is no exception. My daughter’s Girl Scout Troup had their Halloween party the week after last. I did buy candy, cute little rings, and pencils for them. But I chose to create their goodie bags.

This was the PERFECT opportunity to FINALLY use some of my Mama Elephant dies I’ve been hoarding but hadn’t found a reason to use yet. IDK why I haven’t used them yet, I have so many of their Favor Bag Accessory Dies. Probably because my daughter’s parties included a lot of kids, this Girl Scout Troop only has 12 children in it.

12 was do-able, it took half a day to create from scratch, and it was SO FUN! The best part, laying out the eyes and spiders so that each bag had its own personality!

Aren’t these so cute, I called them Glamor Ghosts!

For this project I used:

I added cute little spider web threads from the spider that tied around the hole in the top of the bag. I liked making the eyes try to focus on where that spider was. It added a bit of whimsy to an otherwise rote task, as mass-producing can be.

I hope you enjoyed this little project! The smiles on the faces of the children made those few hours I spent more than worth it. Even better, the pride my daughter felt at bringing these to her party.

To be eligible for the $40 gift card, readers must comment at each stop along the hop or upload a project that includes product from CutCardStock.

Winner will be randomly selected via number generator and announced on Monday, October 28 on the CutCardstock Blog and Facebook page.

  1. These crack me up because this is the way we all look when we either THINK there is a spider on us, or there IS a spider on us. TOO FUNNY
