Hi there!

Just a quick post that I wanted to get out. I am heading into a busy week, however ever since I saw this beautiful stamp by Ink Road Stamps I just HAD to create this card!

I colored this character, Jenn, as part of Kathy Racoosin’s Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring Challenge. This was my “Day 2.” Day 1 I posted on Instagram. If you aren’t familiar with the challenge, Kathy Racoosin is an AMAZING artist. She’s challenging everyone to spend some time every day to color, even if it is just 5 minutes. You can share your¬†project on Facebook or Instagram and make sure you use the hashtag¬†#thedailymarker30day.

This stamp set came from the Ink Roads Stamps monthly subscription set. Every month, for just about $7 you get a fabulous stamp mailed to your home to play with. I STILL have to post my makes with last month’s set! Shame on me!

I first stamped my image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then colored with Copic Markers. For the lens of the camera, I added some Ranger Glossy Accents.

While that was drying I started my embossing. I used the Bloom Where You Are Planted set, also by Ink Road Stamps. First I stamped my pots with Catherine Pooler Ink (Green Tea), then I stamped again with Nuvo Embossing Ink, and then heat embossed Brutus Monroe Sand Castle over that.

For the leaves and flowers, I hand stamped, and masked a bit with a post-it note, using the FABULOUS Catherine Pooler acrylic blocks, Nuvo Embossing Ink, and a combination of WOW! Metalline Red and WOW! Metalline Kiwi Krush. If you think these colors look great here, you should see them on black paper! WOW! They are AMAZING!

I trimmed my embossed paper down a bit, figured out where Jenn was going to go, then I stamped the sentiment using Altenew’s Crimson ink. I then backed this onto a coordinating paper from Bazzill. Jenn was popped up using some 3D foam squares.

The final touches were some bottlecap sequins from Brutus Monroe!

Such a sweet and fun image! I LOVE seeing the cards I image coming to fruition!
