I very much love working for Kindred Stamps, the Audra and the rest of the team are so supportive of each other, it is a great place to grow. I LOVE the pop culture inspired stamps, it is so exciting to see a fandom you love be interpreted as a stamp set!

There is one problem with this position though. What do you do when you don’t know the show a stamp set is inspired by? Well, I do a lot of Google research, I might try asking my fellow teammates for help, and yes: I try to watch the show it is based upon.

And here is where I might lose my geek cred, there are several popular shows out there that I just can’t get into! I’ve never made it through the first episode of Walking Dead, too graphic for me. And the show the Demon Hunters is based on is WAY too boring for me without a strong enough overarching storyline. There, I said it. Do with me as you will. I think I made it solidly into Season 2 when I realized I could not do this to myself anymore.

So, when I had to create cards for this set I thought, “What do demon hunters use a lot of?” The answer, I think, is salt! Salt became the common theme in my cards, and trust me, I can add anything to a shaker card! 😉 Oh yes, I added salt inside a shaker card. 😉

Here I used the Heart of Gold die set by Neat and Tangled to create a frame for a shaker card. I guess “shipping” fictional characters is a thing, and I figured this was a safe take on these two characters. I don’t judge, I’m IN LOVE with Captain James T Kirk of Star Trek (I like both the original and the reboot).

The card panel is the Neat and Tangled Scalloped dies, I searched EVERYWHERE for the perfect big scalloped rectangular cuts, and Neat and Tangled had them! Swoon!

For my second card, I remembered back when I was in Junior High School, necklaces with bubble solution in them were all the rage. But what if, instead of bubbles, the necklaces contained salt. Fashionable demon hunting protection that is always on you!

The charm is a Tim Holtz bottle that I wrapped silver embroidery floss around. The die, isn’t is scrumptious? I adore this die and don’t use it nearly enough, it is from Reverse Confetti, called Tall Triangles. Of course, everything gets a good dose of my favorite Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist!

I hope you enjoyed these creations! They can be found at Kindred Stamps, the set is called Demon Hunters!
